Well, seems like American Eagle (AE) is stepping up their game. In fact, the design was first showed on the head of 19-year-old of hijabi model Halima Aden in AE’s fall campaign.
Many people have been expressing their excitement about the empowering ad, praising AE for finally selling hijabs. Halima took to Instagram her gratitude toward the brand in response to the positive feedback received by many IG users. Halima thanked the brand, “for encouraging young America to follow their passions, express their passion, express their individuality, and pursue their unique paths.”
The hijabi model also wrote, “[American Eagle] makes me proud because I stand for acceptance, making a positive difference in this world and encouraging my peers to be chase down their dreams.” The hijab has sold out, but hopefully it will come back in stock soon.
